The Gawler Station Upgrade was part of a larger project that included the Elizabeth Station Upgrade. $6m worth of refurbishments and upgrading work was completed by Baulderstone. The project was completed on behalf of The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure.
Lis-Con completed formwork reinforcement and concrete works on Gawler Station on a fixed price contract. The side and island platforms were raised and a bicycle enclosure was installed.
The works also included more than 500m2 of finished pathways as well as laying aco drains and paving stones.
As the live rail line was shut during construction, Lis-Con carefully managed resources to keep disruption to commuters to a minimum.
